Happy Oldies is a charitable organization that aims at enhancing a better living to the elderly. It is a registered National Organization in Uganda that aims at reducing the plea of the elderly to the minimum. The organisation focuses mainly on meeting the health, educational, psychosocial, economic and sustainable living of the elderly in society.
From her tender age, Ms. Prossy, the founder of Happy Oldies, had much love and attachments to the elderly people she used to refer to as "Jaaja". She equally received back same love from them and she became a darling and a favourite to many, as she gave in her time to assist them with their daily choas whenever she could.
When Prossy started practicing her medical career as a nursing officer, she met and interacted with many elderly people, and she came to appreciate what they were going through health-wise, economically and socially, especially those in the rural remote and areas where she was working.
More so, Prossy felt a stronger urge to help and assist these people as much as she could, with whatever could get. Using her little savings and earnings, Prossy started helping the elderly with some easy requirements like drugs, sugar, soap to the much needy and she could assist many as a professional nurse with treatment.
An old person enjoying his/her age in a happy way with sustainable living in psychosocial and healthy living.
