Our pilot district, Kakumiro, struggles with chronic under-performance at the national examinations, more like underdogs in the education space. Various interventions are being undertaken to remedy the situation. The literacy levels are low as most families take to pastoralism as an major economic activity.
The time is now for Kakumiro districty to make a mark in the education space. Education is a great equalizer for marginalised and hard-to-reach communities like those in Kakumiro.
